After the last pirouette is complete,

And the crowd delivers its applause.

She gracefully glides off the stage,

To the world where you and I reside.

Sinking into an overstuffed chair,

She slowly unlaces her shoes.

Setting them aside with gentle care,

She returns from her enchanted realm.

After the dance in the magical shoes,

She and the shoes are forever entwined.
